A public hearing on the proposed 2017-18 school budget will precede the regular meeting of the Board of Education Monday night.
The board will listen to comments on the proposed $38.9 million spending plan, which would be a 1.9 percent increase over the current budget.
The amount to be raised by property taxes is projected to rise from $12.3 million to $12.4 million, an increase of 0.36 percent.
The budget will be presented by Superintendent Terri Bavis and Business Manager Joanne Slauson before the floor is opened to comments and questions from the public.
